perfect timing and a little bit of patience.

please note: whenever you see "god" or "he", that refers to whoever or whatever you call your higher power or in some cases "the universe". anyway, just read. this is what it said in an email i received a few minutes ago.

i know a lady.

i know a lady, who knows what she's talking about and this is what she said:

our life journey consists of relationships with other human beings, whether male or female. this is what makes life meaningful. people, whether male or female, come into our lives for different reasons, and for different lengths of time. there’s a lesson for us in each relationship we enter, and nobody should have to miss out on that lesson because of gender preconceptions.

so yes, i do believe in platonic relationships. however, there must be certain conditions in place:

* high level of emotional intelligence of both individuals (and their partners)
* honesty and openness
* no history of previous dysfunctional relationships
* 100% openness to their own partner about the platonic relationship

and we must also bear in mind that a meaningful platonic relationship between a male and a female, just like any other special relationship, is by no means a ‘fly-by-night’ one. i know of many successful life-time platonic relationships. think about the boy and girl that grow up together as neighbours, and whose life journey together moves on through school, studies, work and old age. with such a long and close history, why should they not be able to carry on their relationship of support, guidance, honesty and acceptance?

i used this blog to motivate / inspire myself and sometimes to vent. then i thought, who in the world wants to read about stuff ladat? theeen i thought it's better to focus on all the oooh's and aaah's around me - the things that make me smile during the day aka the things narrylikes.

i've had a few headaches this weekend or maybe it was just one beeg headache that didn't go away? either way, i still have it - kinda. slighty. umn, yeah.

so while lying on the couch trying to figure out how to get rid of mah head problems, i decided to call for some good company. who else, but bridget jones. there are too many similarities - it's scary! my panties are smaller though.

once again i've realized that i will never ever get a diary - every independent (please note, i'm not saying "single") woman needs to do bigger things and not resort to only writing these ideas on a piece of paper... or a blah-gg. get a hobby (note to self).
